A drug experience is the sum of individual, environmental and material factors.
Everyone’s drug experiences are influenced by the interplay of these 3 factors.
Tracking the relationship between these factors and understanding how they make us feel is vital to proper proper benefit-harm management
What is benefit-harm management?
Contrary to public belief, drugs do not only cause harm to people that use them; they have beneficial effects and can be used for many different reasons: to relax, to explore your mind, as medication, and more.
Drugs are only chemicals, with some intrinsic risks when we use them. It’s how we use them that impacts how much harm they can cause.
At times it can be difficult to understand how to maximise the benefit and reduce the harm of using drugs. That’s why we are developing a tool that helps people manage benefit and harm, so they use drugs in an informed, sustainable, and ultimately enjoyable manner.

Mission Statement
Sojourn is the brainchild of a multidisciplinary team. We are researchers, engineers and media communicators with years of experience. We realised the potential that digital tools have for keeping track of responsible substance use and providing personalised data-driven insights.
We quickly understood that most tools out there only focus on the harms of drugs. While this is always important to remember and to minimise, we didn’t feel it corresponded with the reasons why people take drugs in the first place.
We are introducing a platform that is informative, stigma-free, unbiased, and – ultimately – accessible for the average substance user. Through our research efforts, we are delivering an evidence-based framework for gaining data-driven insights about yourself and your drug use.
